This is Assisi Heights. It is home to many Franciscan Sisters in Rochester, MN. They
came to Rochester in 1877. After a devasting tornado in 1883, they talked Doctor
William Worrall Mayo into serving as the director of a hospital to be built by the sisters.
This hospital is called Saint Marys and was established in 1889. The hospital is part
of the Mayo Clinic.
